Wanting what I want.

Is there not someone out there
wanting what I want?

A life filled with troubles,
giving the ability to learn.
A life filled with regrets,
promises broken, and lies.
A life filled with tears,
someone to wipe my eyes.

This is all that I ask,
to live a normal life.
But, I just want someone
there to be by my side.

By my side when I fall,
--and when I rise.
By my side when I speak
-- and when silent.
By my side when needed
--and when not.

A relationship that can last,
through all, thick and thin.
One that will be there from
the beginning until the end.

Is there not someone out there
wanting what I want?
