I Long For

by Angel   May 8, 2007

As days turn to weeks,
And weeks to months,
I wait for someone - a special someone.

A someone who's thoughts
Fill my every living moment.
A someone who haunts my dreams.

But now is not the time it seems,
For him to step forth from the fog of my dreams,
Now is not the time for us to meet.

And still I know, one day we shall meet,
One day we shall be one.

And I long for that time,
When amidst this cold world
We shall find each other,
And amidst the chaos surrounding us,
Find serenity in each others company.

And I long for his loving stare
And gentle caress,
His arms around me.
When I shall know that
After years of wandering,
I've finally found a place I belong -
I've finally found my home.

And I long for the moment
When I shall become his
And he shall be mine.
When after years of being together,
I still find love in his eyes.

And I long for the moment
When I shall know that I
Mean the world to someone.
That someone loves me enough
To do anything to see me happy.

And I long for the time
When at the end of the day
Weary of the world
I lye in his arms and look in his eyes
And find an ocean of never ending love
And I long for the times
That he shall whisper to me
His lips brushing against my ear
Words that shall ring true for an eternity
"I love you"

And I long for the time
That I shall long no more.
