Time

There are times I wish
I was back in the past
Undoing my mistakes,
Unbreaking hearts.

There are times I wish
I'd said "Good bye"
To someone I loved,
Someone who died.

There are times I wish
I hadn't lashed my acid tongue
At those I love,
Mostly my mom.

There are times I wish
I'd taken a better look
To see if it was a true friend,
Or just a crook.

There are times I wish
I'd chosen the right path:
Done the right things,
Done them with love.

But I learnt my lessons,
Learnt them hard:
Time once gone,
Never comes again.
Words once said,
Never can be changed.
