Just an Accident

The terror of the hunt
chasing your game
going for the kill
to bring home the biggest
but one accident
ruins more then one life
two families destroyed
an accident ceased a heart
a man gunned down
as he and his buddy hunted
a misfire but still a direct hit
right through the neck
not even time to gasp
he falls to the ground
as his buddy yelps in surprise
his buddy lies at his feet
still warm yet gone cold
he cant move
cant even breath,
a day goes by,
and he denies the accident,
he has been put away
not to jail
but to a white cushioned room
his family is in despair
and his buddies family is in pieces
one accident,
one man died,
but two families ruined.
