A Rose By Her Side

by ShaunaMarie   May 22, 2007

He gave her a flower
She gave him a smile
They found her alone
On the cold bathroom tile
Blood pools around her
A rose by her side
His thoughts come and go
Like pacific high tide
He stares at her corpse
All mangled and worn
He breaks down in tears
Because his heart is so torn
Her arms, cut so deep
And her eyes seem to stare
He no longer plays
With her red-auburn hair
A thousand thoughts race
As he quietly cries
And he looks right into
Those glassy brown eyes
"Just forgive and forget"
But how to forgive?
How will he love?
How will he live?
