I love you?

What do you do
When someone will say
The words "I love you"
But you don't feel the same way.
Do you say them back?
Or just turn the other way?
I know the meaning i did lack,
But I said it anyway.
All I caused was pain
On this dreadful day.
Nothing we shall gain,
Except a broken heart for ever and a day.
