I swear I'm in love
why cant you see
that he is the only
one i will ever need

you tell me I'm too young
well, i disagree
its not up to you
that choice is up 2 me

you say I'm a little girl
with most of the world beyond my grasp
but i can reach for anything
Ive realized this at last

i wish you would just stop
for you have not the slightest clue
you don't know how i feel inside
but i swear the feelings true

i will love him forever
he is always in my heart
i know this now i know this always
i knew this from the start

    Great poem, Catie. I'm gonna shock you... and say that I do NOT think you are too young to be in love (I am 36--and your mom will probably shoot me for saying that... LOL)

    Anyway, I was in love at 13... I know it was real... I know it was love...and I also know after years of loving, being hurt, and loving again, that the love I felt at 13 was not as deep as the love I feel now (friend-love, family-love, and romantic-love alike). No, you (at 13) cannot be in love to the same degree that I am, and I (at 36) cannot be in love to the same degree that my mom (at 70) is. If you and Kyle are still in love and together in 2 or 3 years, you will look back and say "Oh, my gosh... I thought THAT was love?"

    I hope that makes sense... LOL....
