When Our Fever Burns Itself Out

by Mr M   Jun 17, 2007

When our fever burns itself out,
And all the glittering stars have fallen
All around us,
Don't let go of our beauty
And promise you'll remember this moment,
Now that my feet drag me farther from you.
Promise I can return
To follow the moon together till morning
So I won't have to bear your absence.

I like this one a lot. Maybe it's the longing feel of it, but it makes me feel that somehow everything will be alright. =] I don't know if that's what you meant for it to mean, but it's a really great poem.
