God wants my son

by Timothy   Jun 23, 2007

How can I let go? What are you trying to say?
It's not as simple as that...I feel so betrayed;
He will make it, you wait and see,
The odds will be in his favor, if only you believe.

He's only a toddler, he hasn't had a chance to live,
He hasn't shown his love, he hasn't had a chance to give;
He's only learned to catch, and not even said his name,
How can I let him settle in his grave, without taking total blame?

He looks for me to save him, and by all that's holy---that's what I'll do!
And if I can't--it will be not one funeral--but two;
My boy whimpers to me...asking why what happened to him, has been done,
And in my mind all I can think is: "God wants my son".
