You have wept inside, so long, for a love
and joy that brings those tears man conjures
with their kiss. You have kept your fingertips,
your sweet whispers with all they feel and hope,

for the only one who can ever touch
or hear your voice. You hold this holy ground
of purest resistance, believing this
is the spot that truly is your birthright.

Let this be our refuge then; in our tears,
our touch and our holy whispers spoken
for this is the place we should be in love,

so deep within our devoted coexistence.
And let this be our heaven; you and I,
hearts filled with such perfect joy, forever.

    This was such a beautiful touching piece no words I say could describe this. I found the word choice to be some what simple yet so strong and effective which was great. Well done on writing this sweet poem with such strong emotions.~mel
