Liberated - From the Adversary

by Hope   Jul 11, 2007

Constantly depressed
My thoughts I could not express
Eyes incessantly shedding tears
For my heart was filled with fear

Never knew what to pray
What I was feeling I would not say
Never knew that there could be a better day
Until Jesus showed me the way.

They use to chortle and call me names,
Men just took advantage of me,
And played me as if I were a game.
My pride had vanished,
For I wasn't concerned about my life
All that was left within me was anger and strife.

I was at the end of my ropes
I had relinquished all Hope
Then without a hint,
In the midst of my Uncertainty,
Sorrow, Pain, Anger and Frustration
- He came and delivered me
From the hands of the adversary

Yup, a lovely poem indeed. Nicely written, a lot of emotion there...

Jesus has done a lot in your life, and you're very blessed with this talent to sway words perfectly. 5/5
