My favorite memory

This poem is real every emotion and feeling i have felt my grandpa died when i was 14 and i miss him to this day and always will but i dedicate this poem to him, so here you go grandpa Ray.

Since the day i was born you were by my side
i remember how we had fun and always spent time
when you had the furry bunnies and you planted the trees
when we would go to the park and feed bread to the ducks
you'd always make sure i had more than enough
when i was a teen things were still the same i still loved laying in bed watching t.v
our favorite cartoons with bug gs and Daffy
oh ya and i can't forget tweety
every were you saw something tweety
you'd always get it for me
drive out on the weekends just to visit
when labor day came it was the best weekend
all the family together it was always our tradition
your favorite event of the year with our 55' Chevy
even when you went to jail
i wrote you every day
telling you i loved you and how i wished you were here when Christmas, thanksgiving and my birthday were near
then that day came when you go out and i loved it
and i was so exited to get to wrap my arms around you
but 3 years went and now your gone
so unexpected that day when you don't want to get that call
hunny he's gone

now 1 year later walking through school now in Huntington beach
for the first day of high school
scared as can be
not knowing anyone and
no one knowing me
but knowing i cant give up
i have to stay strong
not only for me but for you
life changes and moves on
but just knowing if i need you your always there
in my mind and in my heart
you will always be
because grandpa i will always love you
