Memories

Memories
What a profound word

A sum of moments
Some good, some sad

A stolen kiss in the rain
A harsh word in a crowd

A certificate of merit
A report of failure

A walk into the oblivion
A walk filled with bliss

Eyes blink
And a moment is snapped

Forever stored
In the infinite library of memories

In a quite pause
Of speeding life they live

Waiting
For you like a faithful lover

To make you ecstatic or desolate
As its mood depends

Memories
A friend a foe

A dise of destiny thrown at birth
Won lost

Known only
In the last few blinks of life

As only they will fill
The darkness that awaits us all

Memories
Oh! What a profound word
