Rockin' Rollin' Cowboy Astronaut

by Mr Anonymous   Jul 15, 2007

None of my friends
Know what job they want to be when they’re older,
Some say Firefighter,
Some say Doctor
All of my friends,
Are undecided
They don’t want to be separated, divided
I’m the only one,
Who knows what I want to be
It’s so original, and simple
The idea just came to me!

I like the idea of a rock star,
And to be a race-car driver
I also love cowboys,
And astronauts are for cool-boys

Compared to this job,
All other jobs are boring
All of my friends will be jealous of me,
They will be jealous, you’ll see
I’ll make millions,
As the one and only,
I’m being dead serious, this ain’t baloney
This is what I’ve always wanted to be,
And this is what I want,
To be a rockin’ rollin’ cowboy astronaut

I’ll be out in space,
On my mechanical horse,
With my guitar, and my driver gloves,
I’ll name my horse Snuffves (Snoof-ve-zzzz)

I’ll catch alien buffalo on planet Grotanium
I’ll race in the giant stadium
Then after my race is over,
I’ll play the song I wrote when I was ten for you,
It’s called ‘Macdover come over’

Everyone’s job seems so simple,
With police chasing down criminals,
Firefighters hosing down fires,
Fun Park people setting up prizes
While they’re all busy saving houses, and bringing people to justice,
And setting up cheap impossible to win prizes,
I’ll be out in space, doing something more important

Saving the world,
From horrible alien monsters
Playing for huge, stadium sized concerts
Racing as fast, as I can race
And walking down the path,
Where I will follow my dreams,
And have fun, you’ll see
So I’m no silly kid who wants to do something pointless,
I’m just a kid, who has dreams,
So respect it
