Disconcerted

by icarus   Jul 29, 2007

Far away lies the truth,
the truth I desire and dread

A battle rages through my soul,
desperate halves constantly struggle

Uncertainty plagues my thoughts,
doubt sifts through my pores

The hope for an end
the end to a torment
holds my afflicted spirit
in perpetual disconcertion
unable to pass beyond the opaque veil
concealing the truth
the truth I desire and dread

i like the longer stanza but i'm not sure about the rest yet.
