Washed Away with the Morning Dew

by blackheartslove   Aug 2, 2007

Looking ahead
Trying to find the will
The road curves
All vision blocked
Walking along
Hazy fog, damp winds

A black sky
Stars shining bright
Clouds floating by
The light fades out
The world so big
A life so small and insignificant

No wishes for the future
No daydreams passing time
No prayers go up for happiness
Only cries are lifted on the wind
The journey stretches out so long
A simple shortcut is the only other way

Struggling through another day
Trying to maintain her mask
Hiding behind a smile
But all alone inside
Teardrops falling down like rain
Her heart and soul are drowning

Cold winds blowing past
Life slowly draining away
A heart frozen by ice and snow
A soul so distant and cold
Life lasts as long as it chooses
The journey continues as long as it’s willed

A waterfall frozen there in time
Forever will it last
Even if the water no longer flows
The heat of summer cannot reach it
No warm breeze will thaw it
It will stand still till the breaking of the world
