A Life Gone Cold

by blackheartslove   Aug 2, 2007

A young girl lies
On a distant shore
Where the waves crash
And the sun shines bright

The seagulls cry
As the wind blows strong
The world is at peace
For no one knows

Not a tear is shed
Not a thought is shared
Of the young girl lying
On a faraway beach

All alone by a lonely sea
No one holds her
No one comforts her
As the world grows dark

But life goes on
The world spins round
As she lies cold and dead
With a bullet in her head

And far out in the ocean
As the sails billow out
A young man stands on deck
His laughter on the wind

He smiles to himself
As he strokes the silver gun
Another life grown still
Another heart gone cold

And the suffering continues
At the hands of one young man
Until finally it’s over
Another life stolen away
