Final Message

if I only had one last day
to walk upon this earth
I'd watch the sunrise
reminisce about my birth

I'd throw a great big party
with all my family and friends
talk about the beautiful life
that we all did together spend

a hug and kiss to each one
a final message I would leave
"do not cry when I am gone
at peace I will be

live each day as if your last
follow all your dreams
when you begin to miss me
just look to those shining sunbeams

goodbye I will not say
for one day again we shall meet
we'll throw another big party
that will rock the gods off their feet"

then I'd watch the sunset
in the comforting arms of my loving man
and with my last breath
place a kiss in the palm of his hand
