When you left this is what i turned into

My smile has left
In its place is nothing
The sparkle in my eyes are gone
Replaced by glistening tears

You were and are my everything
I gave it all up for you
I heard the promise of forever in your words
But that was a big mistake

I heard we'd be together
Try with everything we have
But you just threw that dream away
In its place is a hole of self doubt

When I was with you
I saw tomorrow
And my smile stayed lit on my face
Knowing I would see you again

School is easy
All I do is the same thing
Writing notes or math problems
Keeping as little conversation as possible

I hardly hear the teachers voice
Droning on about unnecessary things
But I listen to distract myself
To keep from breaking down

Every day is a miracle
When I can hold in my tears
And not start crying
Or cutting again

But the absence of my self harming
Won't last much longer
As soon as I get something good enough
I will be losing the blood from my broken heart
