The 'Hot Best Friend'

Snobby glances and shallow words
This girl gets more than she deserves
Giving favours to all the guys
There is nothing she reserves

Mini skirts and low cut tops
Flaunting perfection all around
Everyone stops to take a look
Guy's jaws drop without a sound

Completely unnoticed
I pass on by
Not one glance in my direction
Every time, I ask why

She has the hottest body
And the prettiest face
But attempting conversation
Is just simply a waste

What I feel could be envy
But could you really blame me?
I just want to be noticed
For it to be me someone sees

I'll get my chance one day
When this phase finally ends,
For now I'll have to stick to having
The 'Hot Best Friend'.

    To tell you the truth, i think it is a great poem, it is such a truthful piece and i know alot of people could relate to that. but it was a great poem. i never felt like this coz at my school, it was basically who cares what people look like and stuff but i was also in the wrong crowd, loved this piece. nice work. 5/5

    I loved this...filled with so much heartfelt and raw emotion throughout the entire piece. i thought the flow was shaky in one or two places but good for the most part. loved the ending..intense and hard hitting. i'm sure mamy people can relate to this piece and after all, thats what makes a good poem ^^

    You have commented on a few of my poems so i came to take a look at urs! =)

    This poem abt ur hot best friend is so heart-felt and i can kind of relate to it cuz i have frenz ard me who are prettier and smarter than me. Haha..but whatever it is, we should still be proud of who we are! And i do believe that friendship is more than just grabbing attention from guys and being better than ur friend and stuff..so stay happy yah! =)

    I know what you mean about not writing much lately neither have I been and when I do I don't know where they come from.
    This piece was great though i'm sure alot of people can relate to this in their own way. I don't think this was the best i've read of yours but it was still great which shows that all your work is up to a high standard. Loved it. Keep writing. ~mel
