Your Voice

I haven't seen you in weeks,
I haven't spoken to you in days,
I haven't heard your name in hours..
Even so, I still love you the same.

Baby, you're my Prince Charming,
My Knight in Shining Armor.
The light of my life,
The only one for me.

When you finally call me,
I suddenly get dizzy,
I think I'm about to faint.
My heart races as I grab my phone,
I almost cry when I hear your sweet voice finally.

You've been on vacation,
You tell me you missed me like crazy.
I just smile and laugh,
You have no idea how much I needed to hear you again.

We get ready to hang up,
I sigh and want to cry.
You tell me you'll call me back later,
Because you need to be with your lover.
You tell me what I needed to hear the most,
You tell me that you love me.
I smile and say I love you too.
This goofy smile may not leave my face for awhile,
Because I remember that I love you.
Oh my baby, I truly love you!

I wrote this poem just a few minutes ago because my boyfriend Ray went on vacation 6 days ago and I haven't heard from him since. Finally, he called me and said he had been busy and his dad got mad when he used the phone. He promised he'd call me back later though because he really needs to be with me =) I was so happy!! I grabbed a pen and paper as soon as we hung up and wrote this. I hope you all liked it! Thanks for reading!
