Rain Poem

by Melissa   Aug 23, 2007

I wish the sky would sprinkle
her morning dew
upon this thirsty land
before the green fades away
or worse yet
dies all together

She must long to cry
but feels strength
is more becoming of nature,
our silly sky forgot
might is partly weak
when it refuses rightful tears

Shielding sobs
behind fluffy white clouds
and blue air
may seem invulnerable to her
but mostly it just deprives
every-living-thing
