Fire and Ice

by Fireflower   Apr 29, 2004

Fire dragon burning hot.
Ice dragon, on frozen wings it flies.
Duel above the mountains,
And over the castle's skies.

Fire melts the ice,
But water quenches the fire.
A continuous cycle of life,
That never satisfies the heart's desire.

Dueling now, fire and ice.
With their strongest dragons might.
High above the clouds they quarrel,
But soon to fly down into sight.

Shooting now, sparks and flame,
Blowing freezing water and ice.
Using teeth and mighty tails,
Squeezing each other, locked in a vice.

Fire hits the ice, and melts into water,
Water extinguishes the fire as they soar.
They fall and lie beside each other,
Fire and ice, they duel no more.

Very good. It was more of a story written within the poem... I suppose it has its hidden meanings..... but well done
