What might have been

by Lisa   Sep 20, 2007

If we tried harder
What might have been
If only you
Could have let me in

What might have been
If we would've fought
And held on so hard
For one more shot

What might have been
If you wouldn't have lied
And took off running
Each time I cried

What might have been
If you were there
For every moment
I wanted to share

What might have been
If our baby was born
Or if you would've been there
When it was time to mourn

Now your gone
I'm torn again
We'll never know
What might have been

    "Now your gone" << you're **

This poem, as many of the others, is amazing. It's orginal, but in an AMAZINGLY good way. The flow is perfect, the word choice is amazing, and the poems meaning.. is extremely good.

    You have talent dear.

Oh i can feel the loneliness and the pain in each though i personally don't want to experience this there are times we can't help not to think of some things and sometimes regret it at the end.. and sometimes we hope and wishes we didn't do it or we tend to think what if we did it differently.. very well written it really touched my heart. Simple yet very striking to the readers like me.. keep up the good work

Ah, it's always lingering in our minds exactly what the title of your poem states. I like it. It reminds me of my newest poem/story/blurb, "I Blew It". I guess everyone gets in this position at times. How much would life be different if things had gone different? We'll never know, yet always wonder. Keep it up!
