Dyrnwyn

by Independence Forever   Sep 28, 2007

This sword, fought over for years
it's led to war, suffering and tears

a great history, it was long past thought
until the pair, while escape they sought

sheathed in scabbard, withdrawn as flame
to the noble hero, a chance of great fame

Dyrnwyn, the name rang in ages
forgotten even to Prydain's sages

king Rhitta's pride, Taran's deliverance
a kink in evil's plan, a great interference

the great sword, once in mystery, now well known
once sought by evil, it is now on high king's throne
