The Book of Broken Youth

by Adam   Oct 10, 2007

So this is it, the life of me,

Shattered and broken I'll always be,

Like hands around my neck, I gasp for air,

This life I`ve been given no one could bear,

I stand in the shadow of the one they love best,

Unworthy, unwanted, this must be a test,

Forced to watch from bleachers and stands,

Lost among the crowd of adoring fans,

I lock myself alone in my room,

Wanting to cry, I will someday soon,

Jealousy builds as I look at the truth,

I'm just another chapter in the book of broken youth,

So go ahead and live your lives without shame,

You made me this way, your the ones to blame,

Never given the chance to truly fly,

Not one opportunity, you let me die.

Wow you really penned down a great write... a poem which i am sure youths will be able to relate to it.The flow was very smooth...

Never given the chance to truly fly,
Not one opportunity, you let me die.

-I like the way you end, which gives a feeling of hopeless that you would rather die than live in this life

    Excellent Job
    5/5 from me
