Time Ticks Away

by Aline   May 6, 2004

The days they are dwindling
I'm not sure I'm ready, the excitement is setting in but it's got neighboring enemies-
fear and anxiety, setting in with it
because I don't know how hard this is going to be
hold my hand and don't let go
the world is a mean place
and I'm not old enough to face it alone,
without you holding my hand
stay there and lift me off the ground everytime I trip and get hurt
kiss away my tears
and help me laugh away my fears
my days are dwindling and
although I'm excited,
I'll miss you very much
but if you should fall,
and get hurt,
I'm always going to be around
to pick you up and help you get back on track
as the time ticks away,
I'll blow you a kiss as I walk out the door-
for the last time
