That Screaming Girl

by Gee McC   Oct 20, 2007

Swigging down a bottle of vodka
Taking another burn off that bud
The room is spinning faster now
We wouldn't stop it if we could

The music's blagging my head
And someone's got me on a high
Suddenly I feel out of my reach
Flying, soaring, far into the sky

Stella bottles scattered all round
It's time for the police to come
Some one called the bull again
Time to grab our booze and run

I don't feel it as I hit the floor
No doubt I'll feel it tomorrow though
No time to waste on a bit of pain
Tonight there's way too much to do

Somebody is screaming my name
While I make my way across the path
I just spark up another spliff
Ignore the poor girl and laugh

Someone wraps there arms around me
I see a beautiful face I recognize
He's my just found, new craze
And tonight he's got me memorized

He leads the way, I follow him
As he pulls me out of the crowd
Takes me somewhere private
Where the music's not so loud

Smiling I look straight in his eyes
And tell him that I'm his tonight
Maybe I'm making a mistake
But for this moment it feels alright

Now my head is spinning even more
I can taste the vomit on your lips
Someone is holding my hair back
And on my cheek they leave a kiss

I hear sirens, paramedics are here
And that poor screaming girl from before
Looks so scared, and so creepily pale
As they drag her limb body off the floor

I open my eyes, my mouths dry
My head's aching, but my minds clear
Sick is splattered on my clothes and hair
As I try to remember how I got here

Unknown people are scattered all around
It was just another typical Friday night
Apart from that limb body was my best friend
And I walked by as she died last night
