The Witness/Sights Of Angels

by 19Rusty   Oct 27, 2007

My mouth stayed open for so long it began
to hurt, my eyes open so wide I thought they
would fall out, and my other thoughts were
dismembered because of the sight I had
witnessed.

An angel of golden clothes, of golden face
and features, I saw the unknown person in
my vision, standing among the dead, praying
or coming for us as the ending approaches I
will never know, but my life turned another
time again.

I cried in amazement, in wonder and awe,
my faith died so long ago, but they never
forget me, that something is always there,
but still in captivity lies my other body,
why now am I subjected to this phenomenon.

Could it have been a light change, the sun god
playing a trick on me, the family I never have
known coming back to life, giving me a message
of fortune bad and for the better.

In my own hope was it my own other who
would save me, the being of the rest of my
life, the spot she stood would have our bodies
be laid, and reincarnate the same way as
the way she did, and have this heavenly
look, and make the next needed soul able
to see the two of us, to save their life and make
them live different as I have.

I don't expect greatness from myself in many,
and often as of now they are shown to me,
are inside of whatever I am, or is it
an illusion to change me, the ending of my life to
be spent in wonder, in worry, in truth
of how it will be, only now though has this
ending made my body feel like there is a
new start.

I love poetry which is written in the life category but I really am not very good at it. This poem expressed your emotions nicely and left me shocked. I found this piece to be amazing. You have real talent. I love it. Keep writing so I can keep on reading. ~Mel
