What Has Our World Become?

We all live up to these expectations That seem to be required
We get so caught up in our "duties" We lose sight of what we once desired
Now money is reward It's most important to mankind
We forget about reality In hopes that money, we will find

Our world has been corrupted Our morals have been torn
Everyday we walk around Filled with anger hate and scorn
People are manipulated Living in a dream
Falling deeper in some fantasy Thinking things are as they seem

People are so shallow Selfish and incompetent
Everyone is being judged Being caught in these predicaments
We get so caught up in our problems While frustration builds inside
Then we take our anger out On the ones we most confide

People fake their smiles They bottle things within
Afraid of being judged Or whatever life will bring
What's wrong with this world? The corruption has begun
Can anyone tell me. .What has our world become?
