Only God Can Judge Me

by Daisy if you do   Nov 2, 2007

Only God Can Judge Me

The wicked wait for me to self destruct
Saintly sinners, self righteous, corrupt
Never succumbing I walk with chin up

Daggers of hate shoot from their tongue
Stabbing at me, no rest til their done
Never minding them, I continue to walk on

Let them cast stones upon my skin
Practice deceit, let their web spin
Cause only God knows how it will end

Heaven or Hell, my sin's he'll atone
Only he knows the remorse I've shown
Alpha and Omega, his decision alone

Love this stanza Kay ... so true my friend

Heaven or Hell, my sin's he'll atone
Only he knows the remorse I've shown
Alpha and Omega, his decision alone

You've blown me away with this last stanza ....
Only he knows the remorse I've shown

Others can easily throw stones passing judgment .... yet fail to look in their own back yard.
Great message with a wonderful choice of words ....
    Great read Kay!

Being judged by others hurts so much. i wish they only knew what was in the heart of the ones they look down on. I try not to care but its hard. Loved your poem

I love this piece....too many times we live our lives worried about what others may think about us....I've learned to let things roll off and go on with it....

The images and word choices are excellent and the rhyming is good without being cliche...

"Alpha and Omega, his decision alone "

^awesome ending line! Well done! Take care, Debbie

This is a message that unfortunately too few heed. So many people are always ready to pick up and cast that first stone. Good job.
