Long Road to Hell

by El   Nov 4, 2007

Blood flows freely down my arm
I didn't think it would do any harm
I couldn't have been more wrong
But at least now I'm going where I belong
This is my last farewell
As I take the long road down to hell

Now I will pay for my sins
This is where the fun begins
I set off on my way
Paying for what lead me astray
This is my last farewell
As I take the long road down to hell

It's not my fault that I couldn't control my grief
That it was the only working pain relief
Because you treated me like dirt
Because I couldn't take the hurt
This is my last farewell
As I take the long road down to hell

Now I'll say goodbye
And I know that you won't cry
You are glad I can't carry on
You'll be glad when I'm gone
So this is my last farewell
As I take the long road down to hell

Good poem, I suggest, however, that when saying goodbye on a poem, it can be somewhere along the lines of
    Goodbye, dear love
    or Goodbye, darling

and not directly saying that YOU are going to say goodbye.

    Keep the words flowing!
