Just Yesterday

Its been a year
since fate decided
we weren't meant to be
but it feels like only yesterday
all the memories
of sweet kisses
and soft hugs
stand out above all
the wishing, the wanting
always there
a part of my heart
forever
time has passed
both of us
gone our own ways
yet it seems like
just yesterday
you held my hand
and said you loved me
so even though
what's gone is gone
it remains with me today

    This was such an emotional poem, I loved how deep you wrote this it was truely amazing and took my breathe away. A short poem which still held such an impact within it. I can't express how much I enjoyed this. It was definitly so amazing and so sad. Elegant. Well done. ~Mel

    Lost / Unrequited love is hardest thing to deal with but one of the easiest things to write about. It always scratches at you just below the surface always a tiny bit away from your reach.

    Although this type of poem has quite litterally been done to death, you make this one very bearable. It's a very emotional piece and packs a lot of punch to it.

    Oh holy crap...the emotion and depth in this piece is amazing. you managed to put so much in despite it being a relatively short piece and that isn't always easy to do. i loved the ending..I found it to be beautifully intense and very powerful, while the whole piece was written with so much beauty and grace.
