Someday You Will Be Loved
By: *ME*

He comes home early from work
With a dozen roses in his hand
To find a note on the fridge
Saying she'll be back soon as she can

So he turns off all the lights
Warms the place with a candle's glow
Orders a romantic dinner
Now he just needs her to get home

But as the candle burns down
And two hours pass him on by
He knows she's finding passion
In a stranger's arms tonight

This wasn't her first time away
Why she went, he just didn't know
So he sat down to contemplate
Why she felt so compelled to go

He sipped on bitter red wine
Sat down on a chair by the fire
Picked up the dozen red roses
And counted off his true desires

"Someday you will be loved"
The first petal fell to the ground.
"She'll keep breaking your heart"
It dropped with the quietest sound.

She finally gets home that night
A trail of petals all over the floor
She was in for a surprise
When she opened the bedroom door

On the bed lay a note from him
"I played 'she loves me, she loves me not'
I guess you can see how it ended
You deserve just what you got."

"You won't keep breaking my heart
Or playing games with my head.
If he's what you want now
Sign the papers at the end of the bed."
