Past Lifetime

by Letty   Dec 15, 2007

In my past lifetime,
I must have been the opposite
of what I am today.

Maybe there was no trial so bad,
that my one wish was death,
or no obstacles crowding my way.

I must have roamed this earth,
with my head held really high,
standing strong and proud.

No misery could get too close to me,
and the weight of this world
wasn't pulling me down.

I must have been loved back then,
because I seem to yearn for it
so damn much.

It must have been a promising
type of romance back then,
He must have had the midas touch.

A big family is what I must have had,
because now it's extremely small.

I really believe in my past lifetime,
I must have had it all.

I must have been a princess,
or either now that's what I'll be.

My prince must not have made it very far;
Or he continues to wait for me.
