The Rollercoaster

In life there are high points,
But also low ones
It's not always going to be great
You're not always going to have fun

Maybe you're being bullied at school,
Or work is too stressful
Maybe there's something that you just can't handle

I have a simple metaphor,
For what life is like-
It's like a huge Rollercoaster
And you're already on board,
So don't try to get off, you won't even if you fight

You're happy as a clam (I still don't get that saying...)
You're at one of the highest points of the ride
But, oh no, you get fired! (Or something else unfortunate happens)
You're dropping down, now, bye bye!

Get used to the ride,
It's not going to stop
It'll keep going up and down
Until your life is lost

We're not all on the same coaster,
We don't share the same emotions
But sometimes you could have other people
Join you on your coaster

You won't be getting off,
Anytime soon
So it's time you get used to this news

Everybody's Roller Coaster is different
Some start at a high point,
Some start at the bottom
Sometimes you might have a break,
So go stop at a Burger Joint (or another place to eat...or something...)

Every choice you make,
The Roller-Coaster will be ready
To go up if it's happy
Or down if it's 'saddy'

I hope this all made sense-
It kind of did to me
So try to enjoy your own huge Roller-Coaster
Have fun with it, wave your arms and scream
(I LIKE ICE-CREAM!)
