As the days go by I sit and stare
At the blank faces staring me down everywhere
I think to myself of how life would be
If you were still standing here next to me
Life is so hard without you here
I go to sleep at night shaking with fear
I am afraid of what life has laid out for me
Why can't these worries just let me be?
I wonder why you had to leave this earth
You were by my side since mom gave birth
But its to you I give all of my success
Because you gave me strength and courage that relieved my stress
So don't fear big sister I have fulfilled your legacy
And because of you I understand my destiny
To be strong and full of pride when others are weak
To fight amongst men instead of the meek
To persevere through struggles and pain
To make my day bright even though its filled with rain
To look past people who will bring me down
And reach out to those that should be kept around
