Those Days.

by FlawlesslyTarnished   Dec 22, 2007

I still think about those days where boys made us laugh more than cry.
When everybody was straight with each other
and our feelings didn't question our loyalty.
When through our weirdest and toughest times
we still laughed till we pee our pants.
Those days where jokes only made sense when we were together.
When we didn't have to fight and go through great ordeals just to chill.
When fighting with our parents was only trivial.
When i didnt have to compete with other girls for your attention.
When hook-ups only meant kissing
and our morals governed our decisions.
When we actually liked hanging out.
When we didn't have to grow up or need to give up part of ourselves.
Those days when we dressed-up and played house,
when we had something going for us.
And it didn't matter who we were friends with.
I still think about those days when we were all still friends.

Oh yeah I miss those days too. This was written with such truth and there was profound amount of meaning behind each word carefully selected. As we grow up .. life becomes more complicated but it is how we overcome those complications that define who were are. well done *5/5*

I agree with this poem too i remember when i use to debate with my parents about things but as i got older everything just turned into an argument and there use to be times when i didn't even want them even looking at me and that would turn into another fight...5/5 good poem....=)
