R.I.P. Nathan

by Kayla   Dec 30, 2007

My dearest friend,
How I miss you so.
Whenever you died that day,
You took a piece of my soul.

You were the greatest guy on earth,
The only person who understood me.
Taken away by a tragic car accident,
Which forced me to shed tears alone.

Nothing could ever compare,
To the friendship we shared.
The one that disappeared,
Along with you in your casket.

I still can't believe you're gone,
Even after these couple of years.
You were my soft place to land,
My only shoulder to lean on.

I just want to let you know,
I still want our dreams to come true.
To keep every single promise I made,
And eventually have you proud of me.

So goodbye, my sweet angel,
I hope you're enjoying heaven.
One day I will finally join you,
But for now, R.I.P. Nathan.

During the summer I was supposed to go to 9th grade, my best friend, the closest person to me, died. His name was Nathan Graves and he'll forever live on in my heart. I finally summed up the strength to actually write about him. I still miss him with each passing day and I hope he's happy, where ever he may be.
