Bulimia

*This story was written by me for my older cousin*

Would it ever be okay again?
Would she ever look in a mirror
and see beauty?
How had she let this take control of her?
When had she given in?
Her thoughts were interrupted by the
slamming of a door upstairs.
She couldnt hear the words but
she knew what they were saying.
They were arguing about her again.
Not only was she destroying herself,
she was destroying her family.
She used all of her will power to
set down the half-eaten peanut
butter sandwich and started to
clean up the mess she had made.
She used the toilet seat to lift
herself up and clenched her fists.
Her hand would not be going
down her throat today.

I was struck by the final last lines. Quite powerful. Trying to fight against this sort of demon, i hope your cousin stays strong. And to you, take care.

    Best wishes
