You came into my life
never knew that this could be
that someone in this whole wide world
would love someone like me

you never knew my life
and you didn't seem to care
that through all that I've been through
you were the only one there

at times i tried to runaway
leave everything in sight
i never even dreamed that one day
you would make it right

but one day i saw the real you
you slammed me against the wall
cut my arm wide open
the blood began to fall

you bit me and bruised me
you strangled me one day
i remember one thing
i asked god to take me away

i asked him to put an end
to the misery in my life
he didn't answer back
so i did it with a knife
