She Let Go ((i guess my little dark number))

by Ixora   Jan 10, 2008

She took a piece of paper
and wrote a name on it
glancing at the bruises
remembering each hit

she took the knife and closed her eyes
she didn't need them to see
knowing exactly where to trace
she fell down on her knee

she lit a cigarette and watched it fall
as she disappeared into the smoke
she refused to think of broken hearts
broken homes, everything broke

she closed her eyes and refused to hear
the words they all kept saying
she kept her steady cornered rhythm
back and forth she was swaying

she closed her heart and refused to believe
there was one more person left
and the same way they let go of her
she let go of her breath

-idk i guess its ok
