The Reason Of Remembrance

by Bekka Smekka   Jan 10, 2008

Through life as we know it,
the life of a poet.
With quill or pen,
through war and zen,
our writings shall forever be remembered.

For we are the spirit,
with which the lost souls wonder.
For we give life to imagination and ponder.
For those who listen and shed a tear,
become shoulders to cry on a listening ear.

Why should we be subject to humiliation,
when we are the minds of tomorrow.
On parchment or line,
through rain or shine,
our writings shall forever be remembered.
