Love's Suicide

She gave him back his ring
Without tears in her eyes
She let him go forever
And finally said goodbye

She walked away like she didn't care
That their love was ending
But that was all just pretense
She was only pretending

Two nights later
With razor in hand
She fianlly let go
And refused to stand

A few hours later
A knock at the door
He opened up to find
Her body on the floor

With tears in his eyes
He rushed to her side
"You're going to be okay."
He choked out the lie

She smiled up at him
Her eyes turning glass
"Move on and leave me.
Forget about the past."

With her dying breath
She finally said goodbye
She let him go forever
With love's suicide
