No More Happy Endings

by Leah   Jan 16, 2008

She throws her bags out on the floor,
Wondering what could be she was ever really searching for,
As he screams out her name she begins to shake,
She's had about enough more than she can take

He called for her making him more and more angry,
She walks out the door and down the driveway,
She had never made it that far, no,
This has been going on for far too long

No more happy endings
Or wishing on what could have beens
This time will be the last time
She will have to go through this
She doesn't deserve the pain he puts her through
'No more' she said 'I won't be crying over you'
She's been here before but this time she's going through with it
No more happy endings

As she walks these empty streets alone,
He crosses her mind but she won't go home,
Shes left so many times before,
But this time she's not coming back for sure,
As she throws her ring down to the floor,

She's scared, she has nowhere to run to,
No shelter from the pouring rain,
But she won't be coming home again,
She puts a stop to this and promises it's the end,

She's running, she's running
She's crying now
She's scared now
But she has nowhere to go
But she's better of alone

And as she covers the scars he made beneath her clothes
She finds someone and finally she can move on
But she'll never forget the pain he caused her
But in the end it only made her stronger

No more happy endings
Or wishing on what could have beens
This time will be the last time
She will have to go through this
She doesn't deserve the pain he puts her through
'No more' she said 'I won't be crying over you'
She's been here before but this time she's going through with it
No more happy endings
