Moments

by manic moments   Jan 18, 2008

Silence-
The sounds, the breaking of flesh
Sweet unaltered violence

Breathing-
Inhale, burning hallucinations that mesh
Tangible, musical heaving

Screams-
Penetrating the air in moments of fear
Harsh, nightmarish dreams

Bruised-
Purple contusions along the body you hold dear
Builted sores unsoothed

Bleeding-
The gaping wounds freely flowing
Seconds after the speeding

Alone-
No one else to hear alive, no one else moaning
All you've ever known

Crashing-
The car leaving the road, twice the limit
Hearing the window, smashing

Police-
Too late, little too left of it
Small tiny fragmented pieces

Tears-
Three teenagers with so much to live for
Dead eyes seeing clear

Silence-
Help and rescue stand still amongst the forest floor
Sweet unaltered violence

You wrote this in a way that I've never seen before...and I really liked it. It came out very, very well.

You wove in a sense of suspense and strong imagery throughout the entire poem. This could be a song with a related music video if you expanded a little more :).

    Keep it up.
