Pounding Heart

by JEFF   Jan 25, 2008

As I wake up in the morning,
Before my eyes even see light.
Feeling my Hearts throbbing beat,
Laying next to you in such delight.

I open my eyes,
And roll my head left.
So close to your face,
I can feel your soft breathe.

Timing couldn't be more perfect,
As you open your eyes.
Looking over at me,
You smile and reply.

"Good morning Love",
As your arms push far apart.
Having your morning stretch,
Finding the day hard to start.

I slide over close,
As close as i can.
Laying my head on your chest,
You stroke my hair with one hand.

With both our busy lives,
Knowing we must soon slide apart,
I hold you really tight,
And listen to the pounding of your Heart.
