The Deadly Curse

by Jodie Phillips   Jan 26, 2008

You live with it.
You have to, you have no choice.
What is it
Why did it choose you.
A cell they say, why can't they take it away.
It seems so simple.
A killer is not simple. Pure evil.
I never understood but i wish i could.
Thinking of what you went through. I'm numb.
It traveled around you.
Like a train stopping at the station. Then on to the next stop.
Breast, lungs brain.
Where next.
It's overtaken you
There's nothing you can do
The heavens gates have opened
You have now walked through.
At last you are free.
But your not here with me.

Omg, that made me cry, I know exactly how you feel, I'm so sorry about your unfortunate loss too. Awsome work.

Very powerful poem! I love the images; they really aid in portraying your emotions. I also love your indirect description, yet anyone can understand what you're saying. It's very concise too, not milked down. 5/5
