Daydreaming

by Letty   Feb 1, 2008

Daydreaming.

I wait patiently for the day-
That I can jump up and down,
Laughing and shouting with glee.

That will be the day-
My prince charming rides in,
Asking, "Will you marry me"?

"Yes".

I'll be so happy and joyous-
Because my day's of gloom-
Will finally be gone.

There would be no more
Feelings of lonely and emptiness,
I'll have someone to call my own.

I'll look to the future with a different eye,
And say goodbye to all my romantic daydreams.
I'll have all that I've ever wanted in life,
Someone who only has eyes for me.

    Your flow is flawless.
This really reminds me of a love poem I was trying to write; I think it would have been more interesting if you wrote a fantasy in your head and then at the end say something along the lines of oh it was just a daydream and then mention about the future. Personally now I like to use some mysetry and surprise when writting love pieces; like, "Star-Crossed Lovers" would be my main example. It's still a great poem though in my opinion.

This poem is well-written and has a slight touch of drama in a positive sense.
