Do You Offer A Course In Reality?

by ABake   Feb 1, 2008

Sometimes, loving yourself is easier done than said;
I'm winning at a losing game but losing all the time,
Wearing my shirt backward, my foot on the wrong shoe
Oops I think I meant shoe on the wrong foot but-

I bet if you looked past my words and flat ironed hair,
To the little less fake and the possible little more me its-
Not all that functional and not exactly my taste of juice,
If you get my drift of course I'm just being myself right?

I laugh a little too loud and my clothes always match,
Just a heads up first impressions are my biggest flaw;
I'm just trying to live my life being someone I can love.
Oh, I cry during One Tree Hill, but who gives a damn?

The answer is no one, and if they do it doesn't matter,
I came up with the right answer, so do I get an A+?
Nope didn't think so, because reality isn't exactly a class
You should suggest that to the local high school though,

My strings are pretty tangled and I never sleep at night;
Might be useless to you but it seems important to me...
Maybe my sarcasm irritates you, well close your ears;
They always told me to just be myself and I'm doing it-

[Weird idea here. New twist to my so heartfelt writing. Hope everyone enjoys.]

    I LOVED IT
    It was so unique, but amazingly written.
    I do that stuff all the time, and I think people with sense don't really care even if others do. you know?

    Great idea, great poem.
    you did a WONDERFUL
    superb!
